Our
Story
We started with a mission...
…to lead the digital transition in the engineering and construction industry. To push the industry to be more efficient. To make it more accountable. To help it do more and be more – while using less.
We are demonstrating that it can be done. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals, we leverage automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to minimise human error, streamline administrative tasks, and unleash creative potential.
But tech is merely a tool, not the solution. Our lean thinking focuses on developing robust engineering solutions that minimise waste for people, the planet, and the project. We are not following a fleeting trend; we are dedicated to staying responsive to—and leading—change.
Whether it’s changes in the project, industry, or the world, we are designed to adapt from the ground up. We constantly question our processes, tools, and ourselves, seeking opportunities to learn and grow. We strive to avoid stagnation and remain agile.
With continuous iterative growth, our story is endless.
Where it all began
Marvel Engineers was founded with a clear purpose: to reshape how infrastructure is delivered in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Our story began in 2019, inspired by the experiences of our founding Director, James Gleeson. After years of working on major transport infrastructure projects and leading high-performing teams, James had built a reputation for delivering successful outcomes. But behind the scenes, he was grappling with a growing frustration—long hours, duplicated effort, and a disconnect between purpose and process.
What kept James going was his love for working with people. He thrived in environments where teams felt empowered, accountable, and connected to a shared goal. Building strong relationships and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration came naturally to him—and it was clear that this was the foundation he wanted to build upon.
As the industry began its digital transformation, James saw an opportunity to do things differently. Traditional methods of infrastructure delivery were no longer sustainable. The shift toward digital engineering demanded smarter processes, new technologies, and a culture that prioritised people, innovation, and meaningful outcomes.
Marvel Engineers was born from this vision. In 2022, James joined forces with fellow Director Georgia O’Connor, united by a shared belief that engineering can be both efficient and enjoyable, and that great outcomes come from empowered teams working with clarity and purpose.
Together, we’re building a company that values clear communication, accountability and trust, continuous improvement, smart use of technology and sustainable and enduring value.
We want to do more and be more, while using less, creating enduring value for people, our planet, and the projects we deliver…and have a lot of fun while doing it.
