James Gleeson – our Founder and Director – has spent more than 20 years managing and coordinating the delivery of major transport infrastructure in South East Queensland. His experience on these projects helped develop an appreciation for the value afforded at the intersection of a Lean Construction methodology and BIM processes. After recognising the opportunity for the industry to dramatically improve, Marvel Engineers was launched to maximise the potential of engineering that is lean, digital, and nimble.

James is highly skilled in project and design management, multi-discipline engineering coordination, lean construction principles, civil engineering, Building Information Modelling, construction contract documentation and independent technical reviews. James is known for his ability to build and lead effective teams, fostering engagement and accountability through clear communication and trust. His leadership style enhances team performance and project outcomes, particularly in complex and dynamic environments.

Georgia is an RPEQ, chartered civil engineer with 10 years of valuable experience in design management and technical design of transport infrastructure. Georgia has developed a deep expertise in overseeing complex projects, ensuring their successful execution from concept through to completion. Her career has been marked by a strong commitment to engineering excellence, which has been demonstrated through a range of innovative and impactful projects.

Georgia is passionate about seeing her team thrive; her excellent communication and management skills allow her to engage effectively with her team and produce high quality design outcomes. In 2022, Georgia joined the Marvel Engineers team, and shortly after was appointed Director. She has been instrumental in guiding strategic projects, enhancing operational efficiencies, and driving the company's growth and success.

Amelia is a Lead Civil Design Drafter, a Technologist, an ISO 19650 BIM Information Management Practitioner and a CDE Administrator / Enthusiast with over 25 years’ experience. Her skills are broad ranging, with a passion for organised workflows and processes Amelia has held positions of CAD Team Leader, Reviewer and Lead Drafter. She has led, designed, and drafted on major highway projects including DTMR projects however her skills extend to many other areas including industrial estates, multi-modal transport interchanges, sub-divisions, flood alleviation schemes, wastewater and recycled water treatment plants, sewage reticulation systems and Civil, Aviation and Defence projects.

Amelia specialises in BIM Management and Common data environments, ground modelling for earthworks analysis, flood alleviation, road design and sewerage reticulation. She enjoys working collaboratively with her team and clients to support their needs and develops procedures and processes to enable the delivery of an efficient and quality product.

Scott is a Digital Delivery Leader, a Principal Civil Designer, and an ISO 19650 BIM Information Management Practitioner with over 23 years’ experience. Scott’s Digital leadership comprises of drafting, design, model coordination, information management and technology, together with experience in various engineering design software packages across all the major vendors such as Autodesk, Bentley and 12D. Scott has delivered projects all around the country predominantly in the Transport Infrastructure sector however has coordinated in majority of the engineering disciplines. Scott has various BIM accreditations and a strong interest in the Mental Health space shown through the completion of his Mental Health First Aid certification. Scott thrives off working collaboratively with other team members in delivering informative engineering solutions.

Elise is our Chief Sustainability Officer and Civil Engineer with nearly 10 years of experience in transport infrastructure, community resilience, and infrastructure sustainability and climate risk assessment. She holds a master’s degree in Spatial Planning specialising in Cities, Water, and Climate Change from Radboud University in the Netherlands, along with an honour’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, offering a wide breadth of knowledge and understanding.

Luke is a Senior Technologist and has 10 years of industry experience across a broad range of infrastructure projects. Luke has very strong capability in civil and structural technical design work. He employs his skillset in digital delivery to efficiently streamline the project at hand, taking a logical and conversant approach. To do this he utilises a range of software from AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks, ProjectWise and is proficient with using GIS datasets.

Clare holds a Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping and a Diploma of Management. For 12 years Clare worked in executive and project support roles in government. Her highlights of this experience are Gold Coast Community Venues and projects including Gold Coast Stage One Light Rail and Cross River Rail. Clare enjoys learning from others and growing a small business.

Natalie brings 20 years of valuable experience in communications, media and marketing across many sectors including construction, property and energy. Natalie has held executive and manager communications roles across several large infrastructure projects in Queensland and New South Wales. She has demonstrated her outstanding communications skills on projects such as Coomera Connector Stage 1, Pacific Fair and Macquarie Centre shopping centre redevelopments, and heritage building upgrades in Sydney.

Natalie's expertise in management, content creation, communications and marketing will enhance our team's ability to innovate, adapt and drive impactful results in our ever-evolving industry landscape.
